Per chi vuole essere sempre aggiornato, per i patiti del kernel, per l'uomo che vuole conoscere più tutto di tutto e per chi non conosce il comando finger, vi facciamo vedere come controllare le ultime release del kernel direttamente dal terminale.

In realtà tutto questo è possibile grazie ad un semplice comando: finger. Per chi non lo conosce: il comando finger riporta alcune informazioni sugli utenti locali di un sistema (es. username), su di macchina remota (es. @nomemacchina) o su un utente remoto (es. username@nomemacchina). Trovate qui un ottimo articolo esplicativo su questo comando. Per conoscere gli ultimi rilasci di kernel.org sarà sufficiente aprire un terminale e digitare:

finger @finger.kernel.org
